Adding custom token in metamask and trustwallet

When you buy newly launched project’s token, it doesn’t appear in your wallet. For this you have to add manually in your wallet.

It’s same process for both Metamask and Trust wallet. You have to manually add custom token. You can do this for both erc20 and bep20 tokens.

Here, I’ll show you how it’s done in Metamask.

At first login to your wallet and click on Add Token, In trust wallet, scroll through the list of tokens and you’ll see a button to Add a Custom Token.

After that copy the smart contract address of the token you want to add. You can find smart contract of the token in bscscan(for bep20), etherscan(for erc20) or in coingecko / coinmarketcap.

Now, paste as following

At the above example image, I’ve manually added OXB token. I pasted the smart contract and it fetched all others data to fill up the form. If it can’t fetch you can add it manually by looking information in bscscan or etherscan.

Now Save it and it’ll show up in your wallet home page.

Congratulations, you successfully added custom token.

If you got any problem in the process, ask me in the comment section below.
