A Journey Through Thoughts, Emotions, and Self-Discovery
I’m just one among billions, a regular person on this rock—a Brazilian-born, Norway-based biologist, husband, father of two, entrepreneur, and occasional construction worker. I’m here to share a little of what life has shown me so far and continues to reveal, from science and nature to family, sports, cooking, the universe, and everything in between.
This space is for exploring the big questions and small wonders alike—finding meaning in fatherhood, discovering how biology shapes our everyday lives, or even testing out a new recipe. I’m drawn to life’s surprising twists, to those places where opposites meet: where order mixes with chaos, simplicity meets complexity, and certainty brushes against doubt. For me, the real magic often happens in these in-between spaces, where the ordinary and extraordinary collide.
I often wonder if our thoughts are truly our own or if they simply drift through us like waves. I like to think ideas find us when we’re ready for them, that reflections and insights are just moments we catch as they pass by. Here, you’ll find thoughts that celebrate life’s contradictions, moments when I’ve caught ideas that felt worth sharing. Sometimes, it’s a scientific insight; other times, it’s a personal story or a simple observation. It’s all about uncovering what makes us who we are and exploring the contrasts that shape us.
This space is about life’s biggest questions: Why are we here? What does it mean to live fully? Why is there so much suffering? I don’t have the answers, but I love the journey of asking and discovering along the way. And it’s also about those smaller, endlessly puzzling questions—like why socks seem to vanish (is there a portal to a parallel universe that only socks can access?), or what do dogs and cats actually think when they look at me. And why, on some days, does coffee taste like magic and on others like just… coffee?
In the end, maybe life is less about finding answers and more about learning to live in the mystery. Here’s to the journey and to the wonder that lies in every question.
I hope that in reading these reflections, you’ll find something that resonates—a spark, a new idea, or maybe just a small reminder to see your own life from a fresh angle. So come along, let’s wander through ideas, from the profound to the playful. Life is full of paradoxes and unknowns—let’s explore them together!
